SantaPDFTools ("we", "us", "our") builds free, browser-based PDF, image, calculator and AI tools. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what data we touch and why — most of it, we simply never see.
Every PDF, image and document tool on SantaPDFTools — merging PDFs, compressing images, running OCR, generating a QR code — runs entirely inside your own browser using JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded to a server, because for these tools there is no server in the loop at all. Close the tab and the files are gone; we never had a copy.
Your browser's localStorage is used to remember small preferences: your dark/light theme choice, your recently-used tools list, saved reviews on this demo page, and how many free AI generations you've used today. None of this is transmitted to us — it lives only in your browser and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.
Tools like the AI Blog Title Generator, Grammar Fixer, AI Quiz Generator and the AI Thumbnail/Image Generator send the text or prompt you type to a third-party AI provider — Groq for text, Google's Gemini API for image generation, with Hugging Face used as a backup image provider if Gemini is temporarily unavailable — to produce a response. Please don't paste sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information into these fields. If an AI provider is temporarily unavailable, some text tools fall back to an offline generator that never leaves your browser.
Creating an account (email/password or Google Sign-In) is only needed to use AI tools beyond the one-time free trial. If you sign up, we store your email, your name (if provided), a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password in readable form), and your usage/plan data. We also log a hashed version of your IP address for abuse prevention — for example, to stop the same person from claiming the free trial hundreds of times with fake accounts. You can request deletion of your account data at any time via the contact details below.
We may show ads via Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, and read more in Google's own Partner Sites policy.
If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank account details directly — Razorpay handles that under its own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus a transaction reference.
SantaPDFTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy occasionally as the product evolves. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
