Remove a Watermark From an Image, PDF, or Video

Draw a box over a watermark in an image, PDF, or video, and this clone-fills that area using nearby pixels to blend it away. Works best on watermarks over simple or textured backgrounds like photos and scanned documents.

How clone-fill removal actually works

Rather than just painting over the watermark with a flat color, the tool samples pixels from just outside your selected box and reconstructs what's likely underneath. That's why it does well on backgrounds with some repetition or simple texture, skies, plain surfaces, scanned document backgrounds, and less well on watermarks sitting over highly detailed imagery.

A note on using this responsibly

This is meant for removing watermarks from content you own or have clear rights to edit: your own photos, your own scans, or stock content you've licensed with editing rights. Removing copyright marks from someone else's work without permission isn't what this tool is for, and it can infringe the original creator's rights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work on any watermark?

It works best over relatively simple or repetitive backgrounds. A watermark over intricate detail may leave a visible blend seam.

Do I have the right to remove a watermark from any file?

Only remove watermarks from content you own or have explicit permission to edit.

Does it work on video, or just images and PDFs?

All three. For video, the watermark position should stay fixed throughout the clip since the same box applies to every frame.

What should I do if the result still shows a visible seam?

Try a slightly larger selection box that fully covers the watermark with a bit of margin. A box that's too tight to the edges is the most common cause of a visible seam.
