SantaPDFTools started with a simple frustration: every time we needed to merge a PDF or strip the background off a product photo, we ended up on some ad-cluttered site that made us sign up, wait in a queue, or pay — just to do something that should take ten seconds. So we built the opposite.
Students merging assignment PDFs before submission. Freelancers compressing a portfolio before emailing a client. Small business owners generating a GST invoice or a salary slip without buying accounting software. Anyone who just needs a PDF merged or an image resized without installing an app or handing their file to a stranger's server — that's who we built this for.
Most tools use well-established open-source libraries running directly in JavaScript — pdf-lib and pdf.js for PDF manipulation and rendering, jsPDF for generating new documents, and on-device machine learning (via Tesseract.js and a browser-based background-removal model) for OCR and background removal. AI writing and image tools are the one exception: those send your prompt to a third-party AI provider to generate a response, described in full in our Privacy Policy.
